Solved A Problem With Paypal Limited Access Account

Photobucket

(Sorry, dear readers and friends, I wasn't able to put my mind on blogging lately. Been sorting out my problem about my limited access account on Paypal and tried to work out the matter)

Logged on to my Paypal one morning and got ready to transfer my funds to my bank account. In the midst of this - which I suspect caused the problem- I added my BDO bank account number so I could withdraw at least cost. I was just giving it a try this once. So, okay, it was approved then. But at the same time when I began the transaction, limited access account status came out. Thinking that it was temporary and that maybe they need to verify my new account first, I gave it another day.

But yes, I really needed to withdraw my funds that I couldn't wait (as I just spent a huge portion of my savings to pay my Globe broadband fee!) So I proceeded to withdraw thru my Unionbank EON instead... and oops! it was also put on limited access account.

What do you do when this happens? In my case... I rushed on to sort out the problem and ran a search on Google for "help problems with limited access account" and "paypal limited access account." Frankly speaking, not much comfort there haha! To make it worse I was even shocked and surprised reading the so-called Paypal reports and feedback from other account holders. The best advice I got was from Hongkiat to whom I owe thanks for the ever-reliable advice. Thanks still for the info because I was able to decide not to write Paypal but to call them instead.

(I'd like to share this with you my friends, if ever this happens to you, too. What is important, you must know all the facts.)

Email someone, locate their contact number and call them to report. Especially if you do not know the reason for the account limited access, you've got to know!

So here's what I did:

1.> I acted fast. I got my BDO account transactions and Unionbank EON account transactions ready. I made printscreen shots of each, with my name and account number - in case Paypal agents will need me to send it for proof.

2.> Quickly located the contact number of Paypal. Good that it's a US phone number which made it easier to call via Skype.

3.> Took note of the Paypal customer service message as follows:

Contact Us
For faster customer service, please have the following information ready.
* Primary home telephone number: (the number you registered in your Paypal account)
* Secure Web PIN: (Mine was: 505###) This is only valid for 60 minutes
* Primary email address: (Your Paypal email address)

4.> Proceeded to call the number. Not that easy, but I gave it a try. Sometimes the phone is busy but altogether it just took me 3 minutes to get through. After the voice prompt I pressed the numbers of my home phone number for verification. I was able to get through again. Later the voice prompt asked for the Secure Web Pin, yes - again it accepted.

5.> Speak to the Paypal call center agent. State your problem clearly. He/she will ask for some data from you to verify your ownership of the account. Just try to communicate despite the so-called "language barrier". Don't be afraid to ask what caused the problem so you can trace your recent transactions. Always remember to be courteous to the call center agent and don't forget to thank him/her too.

6.> After the call - Important: Take note of the recommendations of the call center agent and act on them immediately.

I hope these steps will help you too!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
