Below, taken at Marcos Island (Take nothing, leave nothing) In the picture is my hubby (if you can find him), who went the trek uphill.
That's what I personally call The Secret Island. Well, it used to be during the 90's. One of the three stops back then. Now it's just an option to stop by. It's a clean place and well-maintained.
Below is the Bat Island, and it was my first time to know this part of the Hundred Islands existed. The bats were sleeping upside down and humming a strange, creepy sound which reminded me of the vampire movies like "Twilight"! What's more, the bats were humongous than what we normally would see in our town. Their size may be approximately as big as a regular cat! Whoa!
I thank my balikbayan- cousin for taking us here. Thanks to the fun stories again and the barrel of laughs. I'd say this trip is a great remembrance!

To Kill a Mockingbird is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee published in 1960. It was instantly successful and has become a classic of modern American fiction. The novel is loosely based on the author's observations of her family and neighbors, as well as on an event that occurred near her hometown in 1936, when she was 10 years old.
The novel is renowned for its warmth and humor, despite dealing with serious issues of rape and racial inequality. The narrator's father, Atticus Finch, has served as a moral hero for many readers and as a model of integrity for lawyers. One critic explained the novel's impact by writing, "In the twentieth century, To Kill a Mockingbird is probably the most widely read book dealing with race in America, and its protagonist, Atticus Finch, the most enduring fictional image of racial heroism.

A Tale of Two Cities (1859) is the second historical novel by Charles Dickens, set in London, england and Paris, France during the French Revolution. It depicts the plight of the French proletariat under the brutal oppression of the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, and the corresponding truculence demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution. It follows the lives of several protagonists through these events, most notably Charles Darnay, a French once-aristocrat who falls victim to the indiscriminate wrath of the revolution despite his virtuous nature, and Sydney Carton, a dissipated English barrister who endeavors to redeem his ill-spent life out of love for Darnay's wife, Lucie Manette. It is Dickens' most widely-taught novel in American high schools.
The novel was published in weekly installments (not monthly, as with most of his other novels). The first installment ran in the first issue of Dickens' literary periodical All the Year Round appearing April 30, 1859; the thirty-first and final ran on November 26 of the same year.

The Secret, is a book from the film produced by Prime Time Productions, consists of a series of interviews and dramatizations related to "The Law of Attraction". The subsequent publication of a book by the same name and of the same topic as the film, has attracted interest from media figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and Larry King as well as criticism from the mainstream press. The film is largely influenced by Wallace D. Wattles' 1910 book The Science of Getting Rich.
The Secret, described as a self-help book, uses a documentary format to present the Law of Attraction. This law is the "secret" that, according to the tagline, "has traveled through centuries to reach you." The film features the short dramatized experiences and interviews of a team called personal transformation specialists, spiritual messengers,feng shui masters, and other experts. As described in the film, the "Law of Attraction" principle posits that feelings and thoughts can attract events, from the workings of the cosmos to interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs. The film also suggests that there has been a strong tendency by those in positions of power to keep this central principle hidden from the public.
