The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks

A romantic book by Nicholas Sparks which has the element of romance described in the most interesting manner. The story begins with an elderly man named Noah who is with Allie, an elderly woman, and he reads a love story from his notebook to her. Allie is his wife who is suffering from Alzheimer's. During their early years she wrote a love story and shared it with the elderly man Noah that was written inside the notebook. She handed over the book to him requesting him to read it to her when they get older.

In this notebook it was written all the years that they have spent apart- when they lost communication during the wartime and when they were separated by her parents. In it also was written the year when they found each other again up to the time they began a family and spent wonderful years together.

Read this book, it is such a heart-warming story. I recommend it for incurable romantics!

Merry Christmas everyone!

A Christmas Carol (originally, A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost Story of Christmas) is a novella by English author Charles Dickens about a miserly curmudgeon and his secular conversion and redemption after being visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve.

The book was first published on 19 December 1843 with illustrations by John Leech, and quickly met with commercial success and critical acclaim. The tale has been viewed as an indictment of nineteenth century industrial capitalism and has been credited with returning the holiday to one of merriment and festivity in Britain and America after a period of sobriety and somberness.

A Christmas Carol remains popular, has never been out of print, and has been adapted to film, opera, and other media.
